Dinara Alieva begins the new year starring as Desdemona in Verdi’s Otello, January 8, 11, 14, 17, 20 & 25 and February 7 at the Hamburg State Opera. Torsten Kerl sings the title role, with Claudio Sgura as Iago, in a production directed by Calixto Bieito. Maestro Paolo Carignani leads the Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Hamburg for these performances, certain to be a highlight of the opera season in Hamburg.
